PICADILLO is a traditional dish in Spanish and many Latin American countries and the Philippines that is similar to hash. It is made with ground beef, tomatoes and other ingredients that vary by region.

Ingredients of Picadillo
- 1/2 kilo Ground Pork
- 2 cloves Garlic,minced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 medium tomato, sliced
- 1 large potato, cubed
- 1 large carrots, cubed
- 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- you can put peas, or raisin.. ( my kids don't like peas so i don't put it in my recipe)
How to cook Picadillo:
- In a pan, fry potato, and carrots, then set aside
- In the same pan, add oil saute garlic onion and tomatoes
- Add ground pork and cook until golden brown
- Add red bell pepper and fish sauce
- Add the cooked vegetable,
- Add salt and pepper to taste, cooked about 3 minutes.
Best Served with Hot Rice and fried Cardava Banana ( Saging na Saba)
