According to the Food and Nutrition Research Institute’s 7th National Nutrition Survey in 2008, at least 16 million Filipinos aged 20 and above, and about 2 out of 10 children are overweight. Undernutrition also remains to be a public health concern affecting nearly 3 out 10 children. Also recently, there have been prevalent issues on change in children’s interests and behaviors brought by fast-changing technological environment.
With these alarming concerns, Alaska Milk Corporation is committed to help provide proper nutrition and promote an active lifestyle. Thus every summer, Alaska gathers basketball, football and volleyball enthusiasts through its Alaska Power Camps. The summer sports program inspires both girls and boys to engage in sports. Moreover, through basketball, football and volleyball, the child does not only improve his/her talent but also acquire proper skills development and formation of the Power Camp values of discipline, determination, hard work, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Distinguished Philippine sports icons will lead the Alaska Power Camps. Ginebra Kings' Road to Semis and Finals: Failed

Credit to the photographer/ Soriaga
When was the last championship of Ginebra? It was 2008, yes almost 8 years of waiting... I thought that this season they would go in Final and get the Championship for PBA2016 Comissioner's Cup… So sad for a Ginebra fan like me that they never had to chance to win for championship in PBA this season... All these season we are excited and hoping that they will be in Semis to Final but, they eliminated in Quarter Final vs. Rain or Shine (ROS). A best of three game for ROS and GINEBRA. After they lose in their first game. We, the fans are expecting bounce back win but they never had a chance to win… On that day, Tuesday, as a fan I never saw a NEVER SAY DIE Spirit that GINEBRA had since Jaworski time. However, in fairness to their import O. Jeffers, he really did a great job. You will see his hardwork inside the court, in shooting, defense and offense. It seems like He, Coach Tim Cone, Mark Caguiao are the man of Ginebra who only wants to win on that game. A crucial game, a do or die game… but a lazy play…  Many fans like me are very disappointed what they play… They play are not the same vs. SMB and Meralco…?  The defense vs. ROS becomes lousy unlike what they did vs. SMB and Meralco…  Do they really want a Championship like what the Fans want?  Yes, they need a shooter, but why they don’t have energy in do or die game that day? The coach gets mad, the fans are there screaming “Gising (Wake-up)”, “Score pls”, “Defense". I know few of them are trying their best to win, but still it is a lousy game. are they tired that day? We accept coach Tim apologies for the fans. We know He did his best as a coach... Well it just a game, there are losers and winners… However, if there is a will there is a way to win the game!  All of these are just my observation and opinion… Maybe next conference (July 2016) we will see the new and stronger Ginebra team… I will always be a Ginebra fan…Whatever haters says... Like other fans, I never stop believing and waiting that someday, they will get a Championship Crown! Never Say Die!!! GOD Bless Ginebra Team!
